INSIDIOUS DECREPANCY – Extirpating Omniscient Certitude

Shawn Whitaker returns with his one-man brilliance in grind, and it’s about time.  You still need a dictionary for the song titles, but at least there are fewer words to look up this time around.  Seriously though, this is the most brutal I’ve heard from Shawn between Viral Load and the previous Insidious album.  Extirpating… certainly tears the Metal world up by the roots with the onslaught of ferocity that Shawn is known for.  His attention to detail is unmatched and certainly shines through on the album.  A slight change with this album is the presence of a couple of leads, but don’t turn on Insidious just yet.  The leads lend a certain haunting quality, I’ll let you look for the song, and take nothing from the intensity of the track.  This is truly a masterpiece of brutality, which everyone, even a passing fan of Death Metal, should immediately obtain.
