Just an example of the numerous spoofs Derek has made
Derek Norman, of AdVantage Point Video and contributing videographer for Lone Star Metal, is putting together a documentary on the Houston Metal scene with Hillary Marek from Houston Underground Radio. Derek has leaked several teasers on his YouTube channel (CLICK HERE) as well as some humorous posters to announce the event. The documentary serves as a tribute to the growing scene in Houston, and features interviews and nearly 20 live clips from bands like Wellborn Road, Decimation Theory, Carrion Sun, Carry the Storm, The Bayou City Outlaw Band, Legion, Broken Teeth, Phantom X, Winter’s End, Wide Open Throttle, and many more. Other notable figures interviewed are Mandy from Manslaughter Entertainment and Rusty from Lone Star Metal. The project will also feature candid on/offstage moments.
Derek had this to say about the documentary:
“This is a non-profit, non-commercial documentary look into the Houston rock/metal scene over the last two years. We intend to show the world why HOUSTON ROCKS!”
The documentary is slated to be completed by May, with some special public showings planned.
