War Master is Houston’s answer to the cry for old school Death Metal.  These dudes pull no punches, and offer no apologizes for the massive sledgehammer sound they pummel you with from beginning to end on Pyramid of the Necropolis.  This disc reeks of the original vibe brought about by early Monostrosity, though they most closely resemble Bolt Thrower in their delivery.  This is what Death Metal has been lacking with the emergence of “melody” and “core” in our dosage of brutality.  From start to finish, Pyramid of the Necropolis is an eight track, unrelenting barrage of groove laden heaviness with the screeching solos and guttural vocals sprinkled in for good measure.  There really is no stand out track because the entire album is brilliant.  Buy this fucking album on disc or vinyl!
