I’m unsure exactly how to start a post telling you bad news, so I figured I’d share my awkward feelings to simply tell you that a good friend to the Texas Rock and Metal community suddenly left this world yesterday morning.
Travis Weiss, bassist for both Duke and Broken Teeth, died the morning of September 24, 2012.  Travis’ personality was infectious, and the only frown I ever saw on his face was the stage snarl he sometimes wore for effect.  I only knew Travis a short time through the shows I booked with Broken Teeth, but I instantly saw the genuine spirit he was the first time we met.  Travis will be sorely missed by his fans, family and especially his friends.
Details of his death are unknown, nor does it really matter.  The fact is: we lost another great one in our community that cannot be replaced.  Forever rest in peace, Travis Weiss.
